What is the medium of instruction in the class ?

The medium of instruction is English in all classes.

What is the eligibility criteria & minimum qualification required for admission ?

PGDM- Candidate should be Graduate and have secured minimum 50% marks from any Govt. recognized University. Admissions will be given on the basis of CAT/MAT/XAT/GMAT score followed by Group discussion & Personal Interview.

MBA- Candidate should be Graduate and have secured minimum 50% marks from any Govt. recognized University. Admissions will be given on the basis of Mahamaya Technical University score.

BBA & BCA - Candidate should have secured minimum 50% marks in 10+2.
MCA- Candidate should be Graduate/BCA with Maths at 10+2 level and have secured minimum 50% marks from any Govt. recognized University.

B.Tech- Candidate should have secured minimum 50% marks in PCM at 10+2 level. Admissions will be given on the basis of AIEEE ranking and MTU score.

M.Tech- Candidate should have secured minimum 50% marks in B.Tech. Admission will be given on the basis of GATE score.

B.Pharm- Candidate should have secured minimum 50% marks in PCB at 10+2 level. Admission will be given on the basis of merit position obtained in UPSEAT.

Bsc. Bio-tech- Candidate should have secured minimum 50% marks in PCB at 10+2 level.

M.Pharm- Candidate aspiring to join has to qualify a state level examination conducted by UPTU-MPEE.

Ph.D. - Candidate should be post graduate in the relevant subject with minimum 50% marks.

How can I Apply ?

Candidate can visit the website of respective Institutes as admission forms are given at all individual sites. Apart from this, Centre for Management Development admission form is available on Shiksha.Com too.

Can I get admission based on entrance test alone ?

Depending on the admission criteria, the admissions will be based on merit in the entrance test or marks in the qualifying examination. However, all candidates must fulfill the minimum eligibility requirements.

Can I obtain my application by post ?

Yes, by sending DD for the required amount to the Institute concerned, you can get the Application form by post.

Do I need to come down to Dr. K.N. Modi Foundation Institutes to receive / submit the application form ?

No, the application can be obtained by post/ online /on counter and be submitted through post or personally, which ever mode is convenient to you.

Do you offer a distance education programme ?

Dr. K. N. Modi Foundation Institutes do not offer distance education programme.

Is there any dress code ?

Yes, students have to strictly follow the dress code inside the campus.

Other than the course/tuition fee what other fee needs to be paid ?

Other than course/tuition fees, you have to pay for hostel, mess, stationary fee which has been mentioned in the hostel fee schedule.

Is there any management quota ?

Yes we have management quota, which is 15% of the total intake of any Institute. These seats are filled on first-come-first-served basis.

What is the Scholarship policy of the Institutes of Dr. K .N. Modi Foundation ?

All Institutes under Dr. K. N. Modi Foundation follow the Scholarship Policy detailed by the respective appellant authority. However, as per Foundation Rules any candidate can avail of only one Scholarship. It can be the Samaj Kalyan Scholarship, any other Government Scholarship or our own Scholarship scheme.

When do I apply ?

Students can start applying from January onwards.

Once I apply what will happen ?

Once you send in your application along with the required documents and application fee, we will register it and an application number will be allotted. You will be informed about the Application number by e-mail. In the e-mail, we will also inform you as to when we will be offering the admission letter; or if we require some additional information, we will write to you.

When should I arrive, if accepted to any of the programs offered at Dr. K. N. Modi Foundation Institutes ?

Students can plan to arrive 1-2 days prior to the commencement of classes. Accepted students will be informed of the exact date in the letter of admission-confirmation.

Can a student move straight to the hostel room on arrival at Dr. K. N. Modi Foundation Institutes ?

No, only after the student has completed the admission formalities/registration as mentioned in the confirmed-admission letter, can a student be permitted to move into the hostel. On arrival, students are advised to move into the hotels/ guest houses reserved by them in advance.

Do you have internet facilities at Dr. K. N. Modi Foundation Institutes ?

Yes, all Dr. K. N. Modi Foundation Institutes are Wi-Fi enabled.

Does the University provide Hostel/Accommodation/Residential facility for outstation candidates ?

Yes, all Dr. K. N. Modi Foundation Institutes have separate hostel facilities for boys & girls, caring wardens; and a tight security ensure a pleasant stay allowing students to focus on their academics.

If at any point of time I wish to withdraw from the program, what is the procedure ?

Once you have taken admission & paid your dues, all Dr. K. N. Modi Foundation Institutes will follow the affiliating University’s regulations.

Is there any minimum JEE or AIEEE or MTU cut-off required for selection to the Merit List ?

The selection process is not based only on the JEE or AIEEE scores. Class 12th scores & candidate’s overall performance including his extra-curricular activities like debates & declamations etc. are also considered.

Can PCB stream students also apply for B.Tech ?

Only PCM stream can apply.

To take admission in M.Tech, does a candidate require qualifying Gate ?

At Dr. K. N. Modi Foundation institutes, we give admissions in M.Tech on the basis of GATE score.

Dr. K. N. MODI FOUNDATION Institutes give 50% weightage to AIEEE/JEE/MTU. But some of the students do not do so well in these exams. Can they still apply at DR. K.N. MODI FOUNDATION Institutes ?

At Dr. K. N. Modi Foundation Institutes, we give due preference to overall performance of a student.

I have done my Class XII from NIOS. Am I eligible to apply for BTech/B.Pharm/BBA/BCA of Dr. K.N.Modi Foundation Institutes?

Yes, you are eligible. NIOS is a recognized Board for Class X and Class XII, as any other recognized Board.

Do you offer the facility of Study Loans?

Dr. K. N. Modi Foundation Institutes are in collaboration with its banking partner Punjab National Bank, which will assist in channelizing Education Loans to the willing students at convenient rates and terms. Students are free to avail of this facility. However, by such assistance, Dr. K. N. Modi Foundation Institutes will not be a party to the Loan Agreement signed between the Bank and the student. Therefore, Dr. K. N. Modi Foundation shall not be responsible for any liability.

How secure is the campus?

Dr. K. N. Modi Foundation Institutes are walled campuses with a single entry and 24-hour security. In addition, state of-the-art security technology is being deployed to ensure complete safety for all residents.

What are DR. K. N. MODI FOUNDATION Institutes plans for the placement of UG and PG students?

Dr. K. N. Modi Foundation Institutes are intimately linked with industry in all its activities from program curriculum design to program delivery. The Advisory Board (TAB) of Dr. K. N. Modi Foundation Institutes, comprising of leaders from education and IT industry will monitor the programs on a continuing basis. Further, every program – UG and PG – would send students out for six months to industry for their Industry Practice/ Internship. With such an extensive industry connect, placement of graduating students is expected to be smooth and natural. However, Dr. K. N. Modi Foundation Institutes also have a strong placement cell to help students find their desired professional opportunities.

Can each student choose to study whatever courses she/he wants?

A student has to study certain prescribed compulsory courses. Apart from these, there are elective courses which a student can choose from the list of available courses. Thus, the curriculum is a blend of compulsory and optional courses.

What teaching methods are used in Dr. K. N. Modi Foundation Institutes?

Interactive teaching-learning methodology, learning through Synchronous Learning Technology (SLT), learning through unstructured courses and, of course, learning through conventional teaching methods.

How is the curriculum structured?

The curriculum is structured in consultation with eminent members of academia and industry professionals. The curriculum is comprehensive and gives exposure to basic sciences, mathematics, social sciences, and communication skills apart from professional courses, research project and hands-on in the industry.

What is the Foundation’s policy on ‘Ragging’?

Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited. There will be strong vigilance to ensure enforcement of the policy. These regulations shall be called the “UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009”.

What is the difference between BE and B.Tech?

As you must be aware, BE is Bachelor of Engineering and B.Tech is Bachelor of Technology. The latter was introduced by IITs as they are Institutes of Technology and hence to distinguish the IIT degree from the degree of other institutions. However, this distinction has been completely blurred and should not be attributed any more meaning than just a nomenclature.

Are there special privileges for the girl child?

At Dr. K. N. Modi Foundation, there is one separate Engineering College for girls only and one school for girl child. There are also Special Incentives for deserving girl students.

In terms of quality of education, what are the ways in which you will measure?

Quality of education should be measured in terms of industry-relevance of curriculum, diversity of learning experiences for a student, level of preparedness of a student in applying research-oriented approach to solving complex problems, and response of the end-user (employer) to the product (graduate) in terms of acceptance.

Yes, MBA/PGDM is a full time program.
